First and Last Impressions

Well, a coworker of mine downloaded the new Beta 2 version of IE7 today at work and I was looking over his shoulder seeing what was new. Looked better than IE6 so I downloaded it mainly to check out the tabbed browsing. I looked at some of my intranet pages that we have at work and found that it didn't work with everything. Then it was causing all kinds of memory problems with my laptop. So I decided to uninstall it. That is when I figured out how Microsoft has such a huge share of the browser market. I couldn't find the program in Add/Remove Programs. So did some Googling and found the path to the uninstall .exe. Ran that and it told me that I couldn't uninstall it as I wasn't the user that installed it. Huh?? Tried to do a system restore to yesterday and that didn't work. Did some more googling and finally found some help, but I had to edit my registry. I hate having to do that. Finally got it off and now I'm back to IE6 and all is happy, well as happy as you can be using IE. So, word to the wise, don't download the Beta unless you love IE so much that you would never want to get rid of it. Divorces get ugly as I've found in this case. IE took me for 1 hour out of my day and I'll never get that back and I got nuttin from IE in the end. Thanks a ton Microsoft. Your bill is in the mail.

Next date for those that want a real relationship.

Baked Alaska

Got the recipe from Ctrl+Alt+Chicken and decided to make it for Easter dessert. Turned out great. I did end up altering the recipe a bit. I made individual sized servings instead of one large one and I used the old blow torch (video here) to brown it instead of browning it in the oven. Everyone loved it. Hope I did the show proud.
